Being courted and noticed by israel should send alarm bells ringing for any country in the world, but especially in that region. No need to guess the outcome.
I was enlightened by this article, and find it insane, albeit fascinating, that there is a percentage of people who are willing to profit off mass murder and forced displacement, and even more so disturbing how it is normalized world wide. I guess it’s not new in the broad historical perspective, where imperialism and tbh barbarism have been the norm, but in the age where we can press a button and have all the worlds knowledge presented to you in seconds ie chatgpt, I hope we are close to bursting the bubble of these violent imperialist instigators and institutions.
Somaliland's been begging the world for recognition since 1991, after a genocide that killed tens of thousands of Isaaq and flattened their cities, and basically every country ignored them because African borders are sacred and Somalia screamed no. Now Israel steps up, first country ever, and suddenly it's imperialist domination and Greater Israel project. Same week Israel signs that big energy-and-security deal with Greece and Cyprus too. The article treats Somaliland like a helpless pawn being exploited, but from Hargeisa's side this is the biggest diplomatic win in thirty-four years, they're popping champagne, talking embassies, Abraham Accords, the works. Muse Bihi literally called it a historic day of joy. So yeah, a lot of folks see the piece as selectively outraged: genocide and decades of waiting get a quick footnote, but Israel's move gets pages of sinister conspiracy. Feels like the real sin, for the author, isn't ignoring Somaliland all this time, it's Israel finally noticing them.
It’s as if you’re applauding Israel as a benevolent nation, recognizing Somaliland as a humanitarian gesture when we all see how Israel operates and there is nothing they do that is benevolent towards any of their neighbors. Israel’s boots on the ground with an embassy, investments may pop the corks of the self serving leadership of Somaliland who seek power and recognition but I wager they will, along with the people living there, become pawns as a vassal state of Israel or worse.
I would not doubt that Israel has played a hand in the destabilization of Somalia to come to this point! Soon will find out how Somaliland will be controlled and manipulated by the terrorists state!
Would you feel the same way if it were Hitler and Nazi Germany lending their support? Or the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia? Israel and Zionist America belong in this group and partnering with them, no matter how convenient, leads to loss of freedom, money and resources lost or misspent, and always more death.
The UAE is the spear point of a resurgent colonialism of necropolitics looking to normalize the debaucheries of the Epstein acolytes within their billionaire networks across the globe that he cultivated for Mossad, all currently eyeing Yemen’s Ansar Allah as the next peg in the weakened axis of resistance.
This is an interesting article but omits a crucial piece of history, which Western readers will probably not know.
Somaliland was a British protectorate from the 1870s. What we now call Somalia was an Italian colony. They were never parts of the same country. When Somaliland achieved independence from Britain in 1960 it chose shortly thereafter to join with Somalia to form a single state.
Given the chaotic and dystopian condition of Somalia, not to mention its enthusiasm for piracy and exporting Islamic terrorism, Somaliland has long decided that it made a mistake and seeks a divorce.
Although a Muslim state, Somaliland is very much not a failed state and is keen to achieve closer ties with the West. It's strategic location should make that an attractive option for the West and indeed for any other states, e.g. Egypt, whose economy is being damaged by the partial closure of the Bab al Mandab strait.
Why would anyone support the failed state Somalia instead of taking a piece of the power in Somaliland? The obvious is control of the domestic narrative that is against separatist movements, but there are other ways to control that. Now Netanyahu takes advantage of Somaliland that desperately want more international relations, so if anti-Zionist states want to counter Israel, being nice to Somaliland seems like a an obvious move.
Cyprus and Greece also. Saw a zio advocating for a Kurdish state. Demonic agents of chaos and destruction. A rabid dog biting everyone and everything in the throws of death.
As President Trump recently declared addressing the issue of Somalian thieves abusing the US, Somalia is a garbage country. Godspeed, Israel, fighting the jihadists.
This article uses anti-colonial language while denying agency to Somaliland, invents Arab unity that doesn’t exist, misstates international law, and omits Iran—the primary destabilizer of the Red Sea. That’s advocacy, not analysis.

The United States and Israel are one in the same.

If you knew anything about Somalia, Cindy, you would understand why Somaliland doesn't want to be part of it.

Netanyahu is just pure evil.

Great job! the only way to fix it is to exterminate them. like vermin.

Terrorists jews are distabilzing the whole world
Jews call this action Tikkun Olam.
The USA and Israel are the only destabilizing forces on the planet. Something must be done.
