On Piers Morgan Uncensored: Reluctance, Responsibility, and the Fight for Truth
Is speaking out on a contentious, even controversial platform an opportunity to challenge disinformation and confront double standards, or is it a waste of time?
When I was first invited to appear on Piers Morgan’s show, I was reluctant. I knew the stakes—stepping into a space where narratives about Palestine are almost always shaped by misinformation and bias is no small task. But the reality in Gaza, the relentless suffering and the harrowing stories, left me no choice. Platforms like this, watched by millions, hold power. If I can help amplify truth in a sea of propaganda, then silence might become complicity.
PART ONE:
Piers himself emphasized on the show that facts and accuracy matter. That resonated with me. Because in this moment, when the dehumanization of Palestinians is rampant, ensuring that the truth is heard is more critical than ever.
Reluctance gave way to responsibility—not just to counter lies but to confront the systemic injustice that has been allowed to thrive unchecked.
The Ceasefire That Was Delayed by Design
The much-discussed ceasefire deal was delayed, not because of complex negotiations or Hamas, as the media would have us believe, but because of political expedience and Netanyahu using Biden to prolong his political career and avoid corruption charges to be in the spotlight. This was about prioritizing profits over people, colonialism over humanity, appeasing Israel’s far-right government, and prolonging Gaza’s suffering.
Israeli Finance Minister Smotrich, for instance, called the ceasefire a “catastrophe,” openly advocating for the continued occupation and ethnic cleansing of Gaza. Meanwhile, U.S. intelligence revealed that Hamas had recruited as many new fighters as Israel claimed to have killed. This is not a war in the traditional sense—it’s industrialized slaughter. Gaza has been reduced to what can only be described as a death camp.
Netanyahu, who has long prioritized his political survival over peace, allowed this genocide to continue unchecked. The Israeli government repeatedly blocked ceasefire proposals, while the Biden administration turned a blind eye, fueling the carnage with billions of dollars in U.S. weapons. Every day without a deal was another day for Netanyahu to distract from his own corruption scandals, prolong his political career, and further his real objective: the destruction of Gaza and accelerate the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
A War on Facts and Humanity
What’s most disturbing is how the media has played into this narrative. False reports of mass rapes by Hamas, now debunked by multiple investigations, were amplified by outlets desperate to justify Israel’s actions. Even The New York Times, after canvassing Israeli hospitals and crisis centers, found no evidence of such crimes. Yet, the story lingered, creating a smokescreen for the verified war crimes committed by Israeli forces.
PART TWO:
These war crimes include the mass murder of children, the bombing of schools, hospitals, and mosques, and systematic sexual violence against Palestinian detainees. A recent UN report documented cases of rape and torture in Israeli detention centers, including the horrific account of a Gazan man who died after being assaulted with an electric stick. Yet, these atrocities barely make headlines.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials continue to block investigations into their crimes. Josh Paul, a former U.S. State Department official, recounted to CNN’s Christiane Amanpour how a charity informed the U.S. government about a 13-year-old Palestinian boy raped in an Israeli prison. The charity was swiftly shut down and labeled a “terrorist entity.” This is the playbook: silence dissent, suppress evidence, and weaponize propaganda.
Media Complicity and the Dehumanization of Palestinians
The first step of genocide is dehumanization, and the media has played its role with fervor and commitment. By framing Palestinian resistance as barbaric and Israel’s aggression as self-defense, they strip Palestinians of their humanity. They erase decades of occupation, annexation, and apartheid to create a narrative where Israeli expansion is normalized and Palestinian liberation is vilified.
In the last 24 hours alone, Israel killed or injured four journalists, bringing the total number of journalists killed since the war began to over 205. Entire families have been wiped out, with 11 members of one family killed just hours before the ceasefire was announced. Gaza’s death toll, according to The Lancet, is heavily underreported. As of June 30, 2024, over 80,000 deaths had been confirmed, excluding those from starvation and disease. The death toll likely could exceed 300,000 human beings.
Despite these atrocities, the media continues to prioritize baseless accusations over verified facts. Hospitals aren’t hospitals, schools aren’t schools, and Palestinian lives aren’t lives. In the Western media’s narrative, there is no genocide—only a so-called “self-defense” war, where starvation and the mass murder of children are justified.
Accountability Is Possible, and Hope Springs Eternal
Despair is the oppressor’s greatest weapon. It’s designed to paralyze us, to make us believe resistance is futile and that injustice is inevitable. But history proves otherwise. From the streets of the UK, where activists from Palestine Action shut down Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest arms manufacturer, to Brazil, where local authorities investigated an Israeli soldier for war crimes, accountability is possible.
Organizations like the Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) are leveraging international law and social media to document and challenge impunity. By compiling evidence of Israeli soldiers committing war crimes—evidence they themselves shared to intimidate Palestinians—HRF is turning acts of cruelty into tools for justice. These grassroots efforts remind us that even in the face of overwhelming violence, change is achievable.
The fight for Palestine is not just a Palestinian fight. It’s a fight for all of us who believe in justice, equality, and human dignity.
Piers, as I said on your show, this is not just about one ceasefire or one moment in time. The true test of justice lies in whether we hold those responsible for this barbarism to account.
For decades, Palestinian families have endured obscene levels of violence, displacement, and erasure. Their stories have been buried under the weight of silence and complicity. It’s time we confront these double standards and challenge the hypocrisy that legitimizes Israeli aggression while vilifying Palestinian resistance.
If the ceasefire holds, it will bring a fleeting reprieve. But lasting peace requires dismantling the structures of occupation, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing that have enabled this cycle of violence for decades. Until then, we must amplify the voices of Gaza’s survivors—not as victims, but as witnesses to the crimes that the world can no longer ignore.

“Our despair is real, but so is our hope. Justice is not an ideal—it’s a demand. And it begins with truth.”

Thank you for being a beacon of light and truth , your contributions were much needed
You, sir, are a joke. Ask yourself this question: If the Palestinians are such angels, why haven’t other Muslim-majority countries offered to help by setting aside land, for example, 1,000 square kilometers, and building homes for them? Why does Egypt have a wall on its border with Palestine that is ten times higher and thicker than the Israeli side? When you answer that question maybe you will enlighted yourself.
